The Sculptor

Angel at Galong, NSW, Australia

Before him lay the clay
A mass of nondescript form
For his touch
His vision
What may become a treasure
Staring so long
For the time,the inspiration
Divine intervention
To guide his hands

It came as a whisper
Soon a resounding voice
Cupping the clay
Forming it now
He soon would rejoice
To behold his masterpiece
Hours he toiled
Yet toil of joy
Not of pain

One vision of man
Tools he’d also made
Created a timeless form
Twas genius he became
Guided by the great Master
His hand embraced his own
Beauty for the masses
His dream has flown
